DeHAVEN, Audrey Nebeker - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Miss Audrey DeHaven, 78, Covington, died at 5:40 a.m., Thursday (Nov 6, 1969) in Danville Care, where she had been a patient since Oct. 16. She had been in ill health two years. She was born April 9, 1891, in Covington, a daughter of Henry W. and Elizabeth Nebeker DeHaven. She is survived by a sister, Miss Jesse DeHaven of 618 Fourth, Covington, with whom she made her home. She had been a resident of Covington, except for 10 years in Whiting, Ind. Miss DeHaven was a case-worker for the Fountain County Welfare Department for 20 years and retired in 1963. She was a member of Whiting Methodist Church, Covington Business and Professional Women's Club, Richard Henry Lee Chapter of Daughters of the American Revolution, Alpha Gamma Chapter of Tri Kappa, Troy Homemakers Club and the Luncheon Bridge Club. Services Saturday at Bodine and Shelby Funeral Home in Covington, with the Rev. Robert H. Miller officiating. Burial in Mount Hope Cemetery. – jlr
